At EMDR Therapy Austin, we specialize in treating and resolving trauma. To us, this means we set our sights beyond treating immediate symptoms, and we focus in on addressing the core patterns and beliefs that drive symptoms and perpetuate unresolved trauma.
While EMDR therapy is in our name and the modality is a big part of our practice, our therapists are integrative. Our individualized approach is both scientific and artful— skillfully blending cutting-edge experiential trauma treatment modalities like Somatic Experiencing, NARM, and IFS parts work; relationship science rooted in attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology; our own intuition and hard-earned wisdom; as well as genuine curiosity to know our clients deeply. We take a holistic approach because this creates lasting, meaningful change for our clients.
EMDR Therapy Austin is a private-pay counseling practice. We receive a large volume of requests every week from clients who are ready to heal. Clients come to us because we are trauma specialists, and we are committed to providing exceptional care— without sacrificing our own self-care. EMDR Therapy Austin is dedicated to creating a work environment that allows for softness. This work can be hard at times, and it is very important to us to partner with therapists who truly want to be a part of a work environment that is free from unnecessary pressure and toxic hustle culture. We want our therapists to feel supported in setting boundaries with clients and with work itself.
EMDR Therapy Austin is a Latina owned practice, and we value social justice and diversity. As a team and as individuals, we are devoted to providing both trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, given that each one is necessary for the other. Rooted in cultural humility, we are steadfast in our ongoing pursuit of learning and unlearning. We have a deep understanding that how we think, how we communicate, how we interact, how we feel, how we perceive others, and how we view ourselves are not only shaped by personal experiences but also systemic, institutional, and historical influences. Yet, our therapists know and trust that we all have the capacity to change, connect to new possibilities and choices, and move towards more vitality when we feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered to do so.
Does this sound like the work you’re wanting to do together? Does this sound like the environment you’re hoping to grow in? If so, let’s talk. Take some time to read more about what we’re looking for and what we offer. If it sounds like we may align, email us your resume, cover letter, and clinical references. We do not accept phone inquiries because of those aforementioned boundaries that we value.
